Glensheen Historic Estate Evening Event

The Minnesota Multicounty Multitype Library Systems and the Kathryn A. Martin Library, University of Minnesota Duluth invite you to the Glensheen Mansion for fun, food, and networking. There will be guided tours of the mansion and grounds - including a rare peek into the family library at Glensheen led by Director Dan Hartman - chili buffet with Meat & Vegan options and Cash Bar with Local/Regional Beers (Wine, too.)
Just minutes from downtown on the shore of Lake Superior, Glensheen (glensheen.org) is a beautiful site for an evening of relaxation and conversation with old friends and new. Free to registered attendees.
Shuttles are available from Holiday Inn & Radisson. You will need to check with your hotel for scheduling. Shuttles will not be available from Canal Park Lodge.

Duluth Depot - more than just trains!
The Duluth Depot is right across the street from the Duluth Public Library and within easy walking distance from the DECC. The depot itself is a wonderful building to visit along with the 4 museums it houses from the the Lake Superior Railroad Museum, St. Louis County Historical Society, and Duluth Art Institute. Admission is reasonable and includes all the museums. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm seven days a week. Visit its homepage for more information: http://duluthdepot.org/

Bob Dylan's first home
On May 24, 1941, Robert Allen Zimmerman was born right here in Duluth. If you would like to see (at least from the outside) the house where Bob Dylan spent the first six years of
his life, you can drive by it at 519
North 3rd Avenue East. Bob and his family lived in the upstairs
apartment.
